During November 20th to 26th 2019, Prof. Marco A. S. da Gama, Coordinator of the Plant Pathology Postgraduate Program (PPGF), visited to the Microbiology and Plant Pathology Department at the University of California (UC), Riverside. The international mission was carried out with the support of the Institutional Program for Internationalization (CAPES-PrInt) of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) and had objective to establish an schedule of activities aiming to start for cooperation between phytopathologists in the PPGF from UFRPE and UC Riverside. During the mission, presentations were made on partnerships opportunities, as well as meetings with professors and visits to UC Riverside laboratories. In addition, a channel was opened for dialogue between researchers from the two institutions, which will help to strengthen the internationalization process of PPGF and UFRPE.
